Nature & Wildlife's Beauty and Behavior Through My Lens
Great photos. I love the egret landing!
Thank you very much, Helene!
Beautiful series, Donn! I think they’re the fanciest of the Egrets with their stylish yellow feet. 😀
Thank you, Deborah, I too love those ‘golden slippers’! 🙂
my favorite is the first one, snow egret b&w
Thank you! I thought that photo was a loss, until I tried processing it in B&W. I fell in love with it then!
Wonderful birds, beautifully captured, Donna! ❤️
Thank you very much, John!
I like them all! But I am biased since it is one of my favorite birds to photograph!😊 If I had to pick one, I would go with the first one!👍
Thank you, Reed! I too love photographing this bird and it’s elegance. You know, I thought the first shot was a throw-away, but I loved that shot for some reason and so tried processing it in B&W. Bingo! 😊
All pictures are good, Donna!
But I will award the one flying along the beach😀
Thank you, Indira! The ‘beach flyer’ came and went so fast, I almost missed it. I like having the beach sand in the background, not a too-often ‘scene’. 🙂
Never get enough….😂
Nope! 😊 (and I still have folders unviewed or processed…..)
I’d go for the first, black and white, one, marginally ahead of the 2nd one with all the birds… Great pics!
Thank you much, Mike! This small egret is so flashing and elegant, it always catches my eye for photos. 🙂
Love them all. 😊
Thank you, Irene! I can never ever pick just one…..just like a cookie! 😉
The first one because of the grace and the light. Such a beautiful bird. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you very much, Jane! I do have a big fondness for the B&W too. 🙂
I do understand why!
Yay, Hans! I can never pick just one favorite, too many! 😉
Beautiful photos of a stunning bird! My favourite is the black and white one!
Thank you so much! The B&W shot didn’t process well in color, but I loved that wingspan so before I clicked delete, I decided to see what B&W would do. Presto! A photo saved and now loved! 😊
Gorgeous series, Donna. 🙂 👍
Thank you much, HJ! 😊
Gorgeous birds! None of them in New Zealand as far as I am aware. The flight shot with the coastal backdrop for me.
Thank you very much! They are so elegant. I too liked the coastal backdrop with that photo, not the usual scene. 😊
An excellent selection. Thank you. Loved the legs.
Thank you, Tom! Those ‘golden slippers’ sure are pretty!
I love the last one. 🙂
Thank you very much, Tanya! I always have the dilemma on picking just one…. 😉
Beautiful captures Donna !
Thank you very much, Ashley!
I like the last one because the leg and foot in the back look a bit like the neck and head of a Canada goose. At least to me. 🙂
Thank you, David! I’m looking at the photo, not seeing what you see, but that’s the beauty of imagination! 🙂
If I stretch my imagination and squint, I can almost make out a Canada goose head from the Egret’s feet. That’s quite a trick! 😉
I love all of them, but my favorite is the one where the bird is landing! It is so funny 😆. In Finland, if we are lucky, we can see ONE Snowy Egret. You can get 10 in one picture! Congratulations!
Thank you, Minna! At home, we’re also only accustomed to one or two here or there. So seeing flocks of them this past winter while vacationing in Florida was a thrill! I couldn’t get enough of them. 🙂
My fave shot is the first one. It’s majestic. It’s postcard material or book cover.
But, I still love the yellow feets! *squeal*
Thank you, Vic! I really do have a love for the first one too. 🙂 And who cannot love golden slippers!
Heh. They are so fashionable.
Sometimes it’s just so very difficult to pick just one. Know the feeling. But if I HAD to…. I think it would be “Snowy Egret Feet in Flight”. Those graceful wings get me every time. I could almost reach out and tickle those soft feather tips.
Thank you, Gunta! They sure are some pretty feet! 🙂 I’m the worse at having to pick a favorite, ask my husband about picking a color of paint! 😂
Fantastic set, Donna. Your lead B&W is stunning in its gracefulness and tonality. Egrets can look quite gawky at times and you’ve really captured them in beautiful poses. Great post.
Thank you very much, Jane! Seeing so many this past winter in Florida increased my love for photographing them. 😊
I love the bottom right, in flight along the beach! I love photos with the blue water in the background. Just beautiful! Of course they are all beautiful, you take awesome photos Donna!
Thank you very much, Lisa! I really do love that flight across the beach, not a usual shot with egrets. 😊
Great collection and captures. I especially like the image with the egret flying along the beach!
Thank you, Denise! I think that’s my one and only SE flying along a beach, I love it too!
If I had to pick, I’d choose the first photo, Donna. A perfect shot!
Thank you, Belinda! The B&W photo in actual color just didn’t do it justice, and I almost tossed it. But that wingspan had my eye, so I gave B&W a try, and was thrilled with the result! 😊
All are wonderful. Great to have such a choice.
Thank you very much, I had a blast photographing them in south Florida this past winter. 🙂
