Blue-gray Gnatcatchers
.
The energetic Blue-gray Gnatcatcher rarely slows down, zipping from branch to branch, bobbing it’s tail to flush up and chase small insects.

This last one is a bit of a ‘change in scenery’ for a Blue-gray Gnatcatcher.
After I lucked out with the above two photos, the foraging pair shot up to a roof, looked around, then took off.

Thank you!
You’re always welcome
Lovely little bird Donna, reminds me a little of a White or Silvereye. They are great challenges for a photo which makes it all the more exciting.
Thank you, Ashley, I do love the challenge with the flighty little birds. π
Pretty little things! Great shots, Donna. I wish I was there, here is cold! π
Thank you, HJ! Florida thinks it’s cold too, lol, our highs are the low 70’s, people (not me!) are wearing coats. If it gets any colder here, they’ll be wearing gloves! π π€£
What an adorable little bird — I love the color. Nice pictures! π
Thank you, Barbara! They come every day to our campsite and tease me into trying to get their photos. π
Very nice Donna! Fun to see smaller birds! I usually have trouble with them. I need a bigger target to see & focus on!π
Thank you, Reed! I love the challenge of little birds, and I throw away most shots myself. π When I do get a shot, it definitely is exciting! π
They are indeed very cute! Great photos! Love seeing the vibrant green foliage (winter here).
Thank you, they are cuties! π
Fine shots, Donna! They are challenging subjects!
Thank you, Belinda, for sure!
Those are gorgeous images of it, Donna! Last May I saw one for the first time making it my 221st bird on my life list.
Thank you, Deborah! Fabulous life list number! π
π Little by little it’s getting there.
Great shots of a tiny little bird. π
Thank you, Irene! π
Well done. They are tricky!
Thank you, Kathy, for sure!
Very nice captures of these speedy fellows, Donna! How cool to catch the pair out on that roof.
That pair teased me in the bushes for 15 minutes, I was giving up when they shot up to the hut. They decided I needed to be rewarded! π
Patience some times pays off!
Nicely done. I especially like the second composition and how sharp the bird is with a catch-light in its eye.
Thank you, Denise! That shot was the only one that I scored out of a dozen with that bird in that tree. It made me work for it….. hehe
