Wildlife Cohabiting Together — Great Egret, Anhinga, Softshell Turtles
.
I love seeing different species of wildlife resting together, feeling safe. Getting to see size comparisons is a big plus.
Even if they don’t want to look at each other. 😉

How lovely when we all experience peace like this Donna 🙂
Well said, Ashley! 😊
That means a lot, we humans could learn from this.
So true, Jane 😕
Very nice Donna! Fun to see the grouping with the turtles passing by!
Thank you, Reed! Those turtles weren’t moving, they would come out of the water every day and lay on the grass for hours. 🙂 They were probably there first, lol.
Great picture! A reminder to us humans that we have a lot to learn about getting along with those who are different from us.
Thank you, Susan, very true.
I like it when they share territory and live in peace. Great shot, Donna. 🙂
I do too, HJ! Thank you! 😊
Wouldn’t it be nice if people of opposing views could co-exist so easily?
Humanity’s fallen nature gets in the way. Even some of the people who proclaim to champion tolerance are the very same ones who turn a blind eye when those who happen to hold views opposite to theirs are being oppressed. I believe the term is called selective outrage. Truth can never coexist with lies.
Yes it would.
Cool photo!!
Thanks Lisa!
What a fun combo, Donna 😀👍🏻❗️
Makes you look twice! 😁
“If I don’t look, they’re not really there.” LOL!
😁
😄
Tolerance is the key to peace and happiness.
Amen!
That is the need of the hour…getting along with others…
Yes! Thank you, Indira!!
Or is that Anhinga mimicking (soon to be ex-)President Trump looking the other way, while ‘his’ softshell turtles invade the Egret’s domain? If only humans could learn from nature… (I’m shocked and saddened to see those images of yesterday).
The picture is a perfect illustration for the idea of “live and let live.” 💙
Thank you, Barbara!
Lovely photo! This photo highlights the diversity of nature. Technically, the photo is very well balanced. Great job!
Thank you very much!
Great composition, Donna! I’m with you – it’s fun when we can photograph multiple species in the same frame. Especially when one isn’t eating the other!
Happy New Year!
I agree about the ‘no dining each other’! 😉 Happy New Year, Wally!
Cool sighting, Donna! It made me smile.
Thank you, Deborah. Now I am smiling! 😊
Hehe! Getting along but holding on to a bit of attitude. 😂❤️
Most definitely! 😂❤️
