Fabulous photos Donna!
Thank you, Mike!
What a wonderful series! I have never seen a tri-colored heron in flight, and I don’t think I have ever seen a reddish egret. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you, Susan! Plan that trip to Florida and you can see AND photograph both! 🙂
🙌 Now I have to think of new phrases to describe your photography, Donna!!
Awwww…Indira! 💕 You just visiting my blog makes me super happy, my friend!
Those are beautiful images of those Herons and Egrets, Donna.
Thank you, Deborah!
This was a fantastic array of different species, Donna, and I really enjoyed each photo, as well as the joy of seeing these five species. We don’t all get to see tricolored herons and reddish egrets everyday. And I so loved the Orville Wright quote that went with it. I espec. like the second photo, demonstrating grace and beauty and the magnificent reflection. Thanks for this spark of beauty on my Monday morning.
Thank you, Jet, for your kind comments, it joys me to share my bird finds through my photos with you! I’m back up home near the Chesapeake Bay now, back to the cold lol but, yay! Spring and arriving migrations. 😊
Great gliders Donna! I have not noticed the long extra pink tail on the the great egret in flight before….
Thank you, Hans! I took the Great Egret shot early morning, it appears more of a beige, lighter than the Cattle Egret, if you’ve seen that one in breeding plumage. Not normal on all Great Egret, but I’ve seen here and there around Florida, so maybe a subspecies, like the Great Blue Heron White Morph? (also a subspecies of GBH found in Florida only) 🙂
Very nice Donna! Some of my favorite birds to photograph!! Enjoyed seeing them!
Thank you, Reed!
Love the Orville Wright quote. And the coloring on the tricolored heron is the perfect shade of blue-gray I try to find for painting my walls. 🙂 These pictures are so clear and beautiful and I love how bright the eye is on the black-crowned night heron.
Thank you, Barbara! Seeing the Tricolored Heron for a second winter has me hooked on them, I agree their coloring is stunning. The BCNHeron had taken flight when I didn’t even know it was in hiding, so when I downloaded the photo and saw I got a shot, I laughed about the ‘stink eye’ I got from it. 😅 It was deserved! I was the one to arrive second and interrupted its roost. 😏
🤣
Great photos! These are all beautiful birds!
Thank you, I think so too with those gorgeous big wingspans!
This is a wonderful series of photographs, Donna!
Isn’t it impressive to see these magnificent birds in flight? We get used to watching them wading and hunting, we tend to forget they truly are masters of the air!
Thank you, Wally! Well said!! I am in awe with birds in flight. Oh, the places they go! 🙂
I love the reflection of the Great Egret in the water !
Thank you, Rudi, me too! I love reflection photo opportunities!!
Great series of these birds in flight, Donna.
Thank you, Isabel!
Five great birds that I like! Great shots, Donna. 🙂
Thank you, HJ! 🙂
All lovely. I particularly like the tri coloured heron!
Thank you, Belinda! I grew extra-fond over the Tricolored this past winter, such gorgeous coloring!
Wonderful photos, Donna! Amazing to have all five species in one place. I have barely seen Reddish Egrets one or two times. We rarely get a stray Tricolored and I don’t go chasing it. I may have to go south again, eventually.
Thank you, Lisa! Hopefully, travel can get back to a normal some day soon.
Loely, as usual!!
Thank you, Carol!
LOVELY
😊
Beautiful set, Donna! I esp. love the Great Egret and its reflection.
Thank you, Eliza!
Awesome photos!!
