Eagle Goes Fishing

.

Out on the Chester River, we stopped to watch a Bald Eagle overhead.  It was circling, searching the waters for fish.

It didn’t take long, the Eagle quickly went into a dive.

Slowing down….where’d they go?

I see them again!

.

I then lost the focus but got one more lucky shot as the eagle departed the water.

Success with a mere appetizer

I am sure this Eagle was soon back to fishing as that tiny fish couldn’t have satisfied for long!

  1. What a brilliant series of shots. I could really sense the speed, power and control of the bird. It must have been even more exciting to witness this and while being able to photograph it.

  2. Beautiful action shots. Pity camera tech isn’t as good at focusing as the human eye… then again my eyes aren’t as good as they once were… 🥴

    • Thank you, Steve! I hope one of these days you do!! ğŸ¤ž I’ve seen an eagle dive into a raft of winter ducks too, the ducks will either dive or take flight; he hopes they take flight so he can chase them down to snag one. That scene usually bothers me….. 🙆‍♀️
