Nice series of images Donna! Enjoyed seeing them!
Thank you, Reed!
They all look great posing with the berries. I’d love to see the white throated sparrow one day. It’s here from time to time but, I keep missing it.
Thank you, Deborah! Fingers crossed for you to see that little WTSP cutie!!
These are so many varieties of these birds. Thanks Donna.
Thank you, glad you enjoyed them!
Ah, that American Robin is so different from ours and two different sparrows. A lively set of berry eating birds. Thank you Donna.
I’ve always felt the European Robin was so much prettier, ours can have a real ‘attitude’ look, lol. Our Robin is symbolic that when we begin to see them again in our yards, Spring is coming. 🙂 Thank you, Sandy!
Our robbin can be cheeky and not want any others in its yard. It has been happy with Roy’s work getting the weeds up.
🙂
Lovely portraits, Donna. Juniper and holly seem to be good plants to have around the yard to bring them in!
Thank you, Eliza! Yes, they are great in mine! 🙂
Birds are efficient berry pickers. 🙂 We have to net our blueberry bushes or the Catbirds especially will strip them clean. Nice shots, Donna!
Thank you, Steve! For sure, birds will find the best of the best in fruit and berries in someone’s yard to devour if not protected. 🙂
Lit hit that starling just right – all those colors really popping. Robins all over the place now, so Springs a coming.
Getting the Starling and Grackle iridescence aren’t always easy, so it’s great when you get the lighting just right. Yes, Robins are in huge groups everywhere around us. Heading home to their stomping grounds to get those worms!
Good set.
Thank you, Tom!
These are beautiful, Donna! You could use them to make a bird calendar. 🙂 Your camera does a good job focusing on the birds in spite of having twigs in front of them.
Thank you, Barbara! I do have a great auto-focus which I spin manually once it sets, so I can bypass the forward branches easily. 🙂
Lovely birds in their habitat, Donna, and foraging for berries!
Thank you, Indira!
Great series. I especially like the contrast of the red berries. 😊
Thank you, Pepper!
“The Spring Collection”
Find the berries, find the birds. And – you did!
Thank you for sharing a terrific series of excellent photographs, Donna!
Thank you, Wally! For some reason, they go so well together in a composition! 😉
These are wonderful photos, Donna. It’s always fun to watch birds gobble down berries. It makes me wish that we had planted many more berry-bearing shrubs years ago. We are trying to make up for that oversight now, but it takes a while for them to bear fruit.
Thank you, Tanja! It is quite entertaining for sure, I can see them from my desk window. 🙂
Good for you, Donna. I can watch our feeders from my desk also, but the screened windows make photography difficult.
What fun for you too! I have screen windows also but am lucky to have the door to the deck 6-7 ft from my desk with my camera in between on a table to grab. Binoculars are laying on my desk. It’s safe to say I don’t get 100% desk work done at my desk on any one day. 😂
You have really thought that through! Good for you.
Having this kind of set-up definitely makes us susceptible for distractions, but I suspect neither you nor I mind being distracted. 😊
No we don’t 😊
