Wow! So pretty! And you captured a bit of the top of the wing as well as a peak at the bottom. Nice going! They move all the time and I find that challenging. Haven’t seen a butterfly yet, as it is too early. It is a joy to watch and photograph them in June and July when the birds are hidden.
Thank you, Jane! This one actually threw me, thinking it was a Monarch. They are almost identical in markings. I didn’t know about the Queen and so this was new to me. I was thrilled I got both the top and bottom to guarantee my ID accuracy, it was by accident lol with it moving. Yes, they are challenging, if we can do these small beauties, then birds should be easy peasy, right?! 😉
