These are awesome. Birds, big, big birds in flight! What a game!!! Admiration for the captures!
Thank you, Sandy!
That’s a great collection. Lately, no matter where we are, it’s Blue-winged Teals, and maybe a few Shovelers.
Thank you, Ted! We get more Green-winged Teal throughout the winter, but I did see/photograph a Blue-winged a week ago, hiding in the marsh grasses with Mallards and Pintails. Not a great photo, but good for eBird in our area. 😉
😁
Awesome assortment of ducks and geese, Donna!
Thank you, Indira!
Great variety of ducks and geese! The Long-tailed Duck is my favorite in this series.
Thank you, Deborah! Those Long-tailed Ducks are quite beautiful, I agree!
Fantastic collection
Thank you, Sheree!
Brilliant shots, Donna! Well done 👍.
Thank you, Michael!
You’re welcome, Donna.
Really nice, Donna! What variety too.
Thank you, Belinda! Around the Chesapeake Bay and tributaries, birders go ga-ga over the awesome variety of waterfowl that arrive every winter, me too! 😁
Awesome photographs Donna. I especially like the flock images … great work!
Thank you, Denise!
Wonderful photos and fun too. 😊
Thank you, Pepper! 😊
Beautiful photographs. I love the geese where they are in their landing pose. All synchronized together in the way they descend and hold their wings.
Thank you! I love that shot too how they synchronize, and especially seeing the one with it’s feet out and spread dangling. 😊
Amazing photographs Donna, the way you captured the snow geese is especially gorgeous! 🤍✨️ xxx
Thank you, Xenia!
These are all so great. Love the long tailed duck walking on water the best. And the canadian geese getting ready to land.
Thank you, Sue!
What a great collection you have here Donna. These waterfowl amaze me how streamlined they look in flight. My favorite is the Canada Geese, some with their landing gear already down! 🙂
Thank you, Linda! Yep, I especially love that one goose with the legs really dangling, he’s ready ready!! 😅
Yes, my favorite goose too … a moment of not looking streamlined as he prepared for landing. 🙂
Love seeing those webbed feet on the geese being used like airplane flaps!
They’re ready to skid on in for the landing! 😁
Lovely picture of the merganser. I find it very hard to catch one in flight because they always nip off as soon as they see me. (The other pictures were very good too!)
Thank you! We have a nickname for the female mergansers, not sure if you’ve heard them called Phyllis Dillers. She was a actress/comedian with wild hair, hence the nickname! 😁
