1-2-3 Cute As Can Be – #40
Here’s another add to my series of little birds, who cannot help but be cute!
These seven birds are my backyard winter sparrows, all who are year-round residents except two, the White-throated Sparrow and the Dark-eyed Junco, both leaving me late April.

White-throated Sparrow
(leaves late April to head home to Canada)

Dark-eyed Junco
(leaves late April to head home to Canada)
And these next five are here year-round for me to enjoy.

Sweet set, Donna!
Thank you, Eliza!
A wonderful variety and set π
Thank you, Belinda!
The eastern towhee is such a plucky little bird!
That he is, lol!
Such a beautiful collection! Great photos Donna.
Thank you, Egidio!
I think we have house sparrows here, but a friend was saying she hadn’t seen any recently. I must take note. These are sweet!
Thank you, Sandy! Time for nesting, so House Sparrows should be starting nests, ours are here.
Ok! I will look!
Lovely captures – what little bundles of spring joy!
Thank you, Sam!
What a variety you have there Donna – I need to take a closer look at the Sparrows in my backyard. They hang out in the Golden Vicary Bush and all fly out whenever I go into the backyard. I must have a menacing look about me!
Thank you, Linda! They can be a flighty bunch, when one makes a move, they all go! π
Yes, that is exactly how they operate in that bush … I round the corner of the house and they zoom out at the speed of sound!
QT!
Thank you, Cindy!
That’s a great portrait of the towhee! Love seeing the differences in the kinds of sparrows so clearly in your pictures.
Thank you, Barbara!
