That purple martin looks a bit displeased about their photo being taken! 😁
I think you are right! hehe 😁
A good selection of wires and birds. 🙂
Thank you, Tom! 🙂
My favorite is the gorgeous Eastern Kingbird! Great capture, Donna. 🙂
Thank you, HJ! The refuge is abundant with Eastern Kingbirds, I am enjoying them very much this summer. 🙂
The white throated sparrow is new to me. All lovely little birds. Thank you Donna.
Thank you, Sandy, so happy you enjoyed them!
Nice set, Donna! I esp. love the expression and fluffy shoulder of the purple martin. <3
Thank you, Eliza! I had room to angle my car and shot the Purple Martin from my window. It was wondering what the heck is this gal doing for a photo! hehe
Nice shots!
Thank you, Sharon!
I wonder how the house sparrow does not get hurt when walking on that wire with spikes.
I wonder set-ups like this, like birds that perch on and nest in cactus. 🙂
Wonderful. as usual!
Thank you, Carol!
Lovely one all all. The Indigo Bunting!!! დდ
Thank you, Cindy!
👌👌👌📷🐦👁 I wanted to choose which photo I like the most. Can’t choose. They are all gorgeous.💝 Have You a beautiful Sunday dear Donna🌞📷🐦🌹🤗
Thank you, Mic! 🙂 I sweet-talk to them so they pose pretty for me! 😉 At least some do, lol. Have a beautiful Sunday as well!!
🤗📷🌹🐦
Not only nice birdies but nice geometrics too.
Thank you, Steve! I love playing with the geometrics with my wire birds. 🙂
The Martin gave you a look😉 Beautiful series, Donna!
Yes, it did! A real good one too!! 😉 Thank you, Indira!
Love that purple martin, what a nice portrait! I’ve never seen one before, although I see some people put up special birdhouses for them. They look like little hotels. 🙂
Thank you, Barbara! I shot the Purple Martin out my car window. It was really curious as to why I kept angling my car, lol. Yes, they have impressive hotels and commune so well together! Unfortunately the refuge doesn’t provide hotels, but the Purple Martins still love the refuge’s trees as home. I counted 126 there two days ago perched on the wires and trees!
Nice series of images Donna! Enjoyed seeing them!
Thank you, Reed!
Happy little birds! Lovely shots, Donna!
Thank you, Terri!
Love the look of the Purple Martin, Donna.
Thank you, Ashley! It never did fly, just couldn’t figure me out. 😉
Very nice, Donna!
Thank you, Belinda!
Oh, that Kingbird! They are underappreciated, imho.
I do adore the EKingbird. Very difficult to get that eye glint, otherwise you almost can’t see the eye in the photo in a distant shot. Huge number of them at Eastern Neck NWR! 🙂
These are great additions. It would be fun to see an exhibit with your whole collection!
Thank you, Denise! That would be a neat idea for a collage on this series’ next post. The geometric lines and bird profiles could be interesting!
Great shots – always think those Kingbirds look like they are dressed up for a formal dinner.
Thank you, I actually think the same thing. They look quite handsome!
