1-2-3 Birds & Berries – #16
Continuing with the Cedar Waxwing photo session in my last post; yes, I will admit I ignored the European Starlings mixed in. I didn’t want to stop shooting the waxwings!
With all the birds moving quickly through the trees, I suddenly had a European Starling land in front of my lens. Now it was all about the iridescent coloring of the starling!

So glad the starling was not willing to be ignored. 😊
Me too, thank you, Pepper! 😊
Glorious plumage and photos Donna
Thank you, Sheree!
Wonderful portraits. Yes, starlings are quite striking in the right light.
Beautifully captured, Donna. But boy, are they terrible hogs at feeders!
That starling is a Donna made star! They won’t be so plane after this shoot!
I absolutely love shooting Starlings Donna but I would walk a million miles for some Waxwings 🙂
Nicely captured, Donna! Such striking birds.
They are so beautiful in the winter. You got some great images and looks at that one!
Serendipity. Those are great shots, Diana. Especially picking the berry.
I like starlings for the woolly jumpers covered with hearts that they like to wear. Or that is what I see at least.
