Series: Take A Moment and Enjoy A Sunset

With today’s late afternoon clouds, I was hoping for a gorgeous sunset.  Our area was gifted this beauty.

  1. Hi Donna:
I always look forward to a chance to photograph a dramatic sunrise or sunset. Your 3 shots are all terrific. I find myself returning to revisit the first composition. The illuminated clouds lit from beneath appear like fiery tendrils. They serve as strong leading lines that draw my eye in and then beyond the calm foreground waters of the creek to the red glow above the trees at the horizon. Nicely done! 🌅

    • Thank you Steve! Love your eye!! I saw similarly tentacles or even long legs leading to a body of spider crab. But something for sure leading to the center. It actually got almost dark before glowing up, so it became a beautiful surprise. 🙂

  2. Beautiful images! I’ve been so focused on ‘life’ lately that I haven’t taken the time to get out and photograph some of the stunning desert sunsets we’ve been enjoying. Love your water views!

    • Thank you Ingrid! Time to get the camera and go sit and watch one of those stunners…..then post for us to see! Yes, I do love being by and around water. We’re going to have to find the lakes to visit out mid-West for sure!
