Series: Take A Moment and Enjoy a Sunset
Well, I’ve fallen behind on sharing my dramatic sunsets with you. Tsk Tsk.
If you have a moment, let’s sit back and enjoy five sunsets together from the past couple weeks. I bet you will find at least one you will love.
Tonight’s sunset was a clear sky, no clouds, no wind. Just a glow. Nothing dramatic or stunning, but it did offer a beautiful, peaceful calmness.
Sunset over Cambridge Creek – December 11, 2018
When there are clouds and they are just right, sunsets can burst into a magical work of art.
Sometimes one night’s sunset has numerous phases of beauty that beg to be seen as in this next sunset.

“Clouds come floating into my life, no longer to carry rain or usher storm, but to add color to my sunset sky.”
— Rabindranath Tagore
Wow, are those ever pretty!
Art in the sky! 🙂
I loved every single one! Thanks for sharing your front row seat to the amazing variety of painted skies!
Thank you, Gunta, and you’re welcome! Even one sunset can change so much, it is amazing.
Very nice, kind of makes me want to go to bed now.
Hopefully, to dream a beautiful dream….
I love them all! You do shoot the sunsets very well my friend. 🙂
Thanks, HJ! 🙂
Beautiful sunsets, all of them ❤
Thank you, Takami, the sunset did all the work. 😊
But I daresay, it takes a skilled photographer to capture the sunset so beautifully! 🙂
Awwwww…… 🙂
My favourite was November 26th – with the reflection and boat outlines. But what a dramatic change on Dec 7th in just a few minutes!
I can sit and watch a sunset from beginning to end. Sometimes they change so dramatically so quickly! Such a beautiful way to reflect the day as it ends. 😊
sunset point is always look different for every angle and minutes
Yes it does, isn’t that awesome?!!!
of course its awesome
They are all just lovely, Donna! What a range of colors and cloud formations-truly a spectacular seat you have to watch this spectacle. I love the reflections of the ship masts in the water.
Thank you Ellen, although summer sunsets can be awesome, we have more dramatic sunsets during the fall/winter with the cold temps. We’re not sailors but I do love sailboat masts reflecting on water.
Beautiful!
The Artist above gets all the credit!
Every one was beautiful! I love the view too.
Living here, I’ve found sailboats are nice inclusions in photo op reflections. 😊
Thanks for sharing! We should all get out more for sunrises and sunsets .. witnessing real time is an easy way to reset and calm the mind every day.
We should! They are most definitely good for the heart and soul. 😊
A delight to view Donna!
Thank you Belinda!
Love that calmness! 🙂 The river we live on is calm now! 🙂
Me too, so very relaxing! 🙂
BTW, what river do you live on, Tom?
I liked them all.
Mother Nature thanks you! 🙂
Beautiful with the clouds Donna, and the sun just setting, that gives the best shots which you have captured well my friend. 🙂
Clouds really make for dramatics, don’t they, Ashley?!! It’s getting too cold now to sit outside to watch them in full, but I can see them through the window where my computer sits. 🙂
Oh my goodness, Donna! What beautiful work! LOVE them all! ~ Sheila
Mother Nature really puts on a show from time to time. 😊
You live a perfect place for sunsets – gorgeous captures!
Sunsets and water reflections create beauty times two! 😊
Agreed!
Every sunset is unique and beautiful. Thanks for sharing these, Donna. 😘
You’re welcome, Sylvia! I know you get some gorgeous ones in Florida year round. 😊
Each is beautiful in its own way, Donna, but what they have in common is this amazing serenity that I can sense even through the screen of my laptop. Thank you, and good night.
Beings no two are alike, I don’t know if I could ever pick my most favorite sunset capture in the hundreds I’ve shot. But I enjoy going through them from time to time just to feel good and smile. You’re welcome, Tanja, I hope you slept well.
I did, thank you, Donna.
Sunrises and sunsets are my favorite! Beautiful pics!
Me too! Thank you Pam!
These are gorgeous pictures, Donna!! Each is a stunning painting by nature ❤
Mother Nature loves to refresh our souls on occasion. 😊
Beautiful images of gorgeous sunsets! It’s such a relaxing time of day that I’m surprised that more people don’t slow down to enjoy the show that nature puts on for us.
Thank you, Jerry, and right on! 😊
Wow!, not only are the sunsets beautiful but capturing the shadows on the water is very cool, I love these!
I’m a sunset lover! The Creator is the true Artist! 🙂
