The Wisdom of Pooh

It is always a delight to see something scurrying around in the shadows of the woods to greet you.

“Say, Pooh, why aren’t you busy?” I said.
“Because it’s a nice day,” said Pooh.
“Yes, but —”
“Why ruin it?” he said.
“But you could be doing something Important,” I said.
“I am,” said Pooh.
“Oh?  Doing what?”
“Listening,” he said.
“Listening to what?”
“To the birds.  And that squirrel over there.”
“What are they saying?” I asked.
“That it’s a nice day,” said Pooh.
“But you know that already,” I said.
“Yes, but it’s always good to hear that somebody else thinks so, too,” he replied.

  1. I love the squirrel photo Donna, frame him up! ❤️

My daughter and I watched the Pooh videos every night when she was very young, Pooh and the gang always helped her off to sleep. 🥰

  2. There’s always something alive in the great outdoors to keep us entertained! Thanks for sharing.

  3. My favorite character was Tigger! Squirrels live in my backyard for about six months and they make life more difficult than already is. Great shots, Donna. Here’s one more for you… 🐿 🙂

  4. Yep, one of my fav books.
Like the ending part as well,
Find the Enchanted place. Just take the path to Nothing, and go Nowhere, until you reach, and be friendly to bears. 🙂

A great shot for some delightful thoughts

  5. I and my daughters were never much into Pooh, but he was obviously a very clever bear! 😊 Very nice pictures too, I know how hard they are to capture, as they never seem to keep still!
