Interesting bird! Pink feet!! The neck reminds me of a Turkey Buzzard.
Thank you, John! Those feet look almost human. π² I agree on the neck, I thought the same thing. π
Honestly Iβm surprised you know what I mean about the buzzard. We are northern folk. π€ππππ»
We grew up calling them buzzards in Delaware. π
The ‘old man’ of the swamps. One of my favorites. Nice series.
Thank you, Ted! It’s been a joy to watch and photograph them. π
Love βReflections β, Donna. Terrific set.
Thank you, Jane!
Very nice Donna! Looks like you are getting a lot of great images!
Thank you, Reed! They are everywhere, I love watching them soar on thermals high in the sky. π
Great captures Donna! I especially liked the Flight 2 shot and the beautiful curvature of the bird in flight. π
Thank you, Ashley! They are such an elegant, unique bird. π
Their heads look like they are carved out of an old stump. Curious things they are!
One of our uniquely beautiful birds. π
That was quite some photo sho, Donna. ππ» Great captures. I particularly love the last one.
Pink toe socks! *squeal* How cute!
Now…where are the babies? Are they on their lunch breaks, in between deliveries?
Love your comments, Vic, thanks for the giggles!! π
I never thought I would enjoy birdie feets & legs so much. So fashionable!
Happy to entertain, love… ;D
Great gallery of bird images!!
Thank you, Indira!!
I love them all, Donna, especially the dual reflections.
Thank you, Imorgana!
It’s a wonder they weren’t called the Pink Footed Stork. I loved the two with the reflections. Lovely series, Donna.
Thank you, Deborah! Good thought on those pink feet! π
Oh how I love to watch the delightful wood storks, and your photos capture every element of this bird’s charm. Thanks, Donna. I especially like the two in your photo facing opposite directions, and their reflections.
Thank you, Jet! Those two facing opposite kinda made me laugh, like they didn’t want to talk to each other. π
Beautiful π
Thank you Seraja!

I liked flight 2 the best. It had an air of surpressed lugubriousness about it that was very appealing to a pessimist like me.
Thank you, Tom! A very unique bird for sure. π
A beautiful collection of photos! I agree the flight photos are superb!
Thank you, I really got lucky on those two flying real close to me, they tend to stay clear of us humans. π
Beautiful.
Thank you!
