Yellow-throated Warbler
Sitting outside early this morning, sipping coffee and listening to my ‘coffee house morning jazz’, I was happily disrupted by the chirping of a Yellow-throated Warbler in the nearby palm tree.

Of course, I had my camera alongside me, in preparation for this kind of moment.
The Yellow-throated Warbler was foraging above me on the old/dying palm fronds readying to fall.

I’ll take this kind of morning coffee interruption every day!

Beautiful shots! You’re a smart photographer, Donna. Having your camera handy, ready to shoot! π
Thank you, HJ! π
Such a pretty bird. π
Thank you, Irene, it is! π
Great photos Donna, a very attractive little cutie. π¬β€οΈ

Sounds like the perfect accompaniment to your morning coffee. Lovely photos. π
Thank you, Sylvia! π
I love a surprise visit from a bird. I also enjoy coffeehouse jazz.π
Thank you, Tanya, both do make the mornings wonderful!
Having coffee, palm tree, music, and a warbler singing to you…. shining light while things go all to… perspective.
Thank you, Ted! Nature is so good for our souls. However, I’m starting to get anxious on having to leave this all and reenter the ‘real world’……we’ll be leaving shortly & head to our remote SC RV lot to hang until……whenever I guess. No sense in returning home to the mid-Atlantic just yet where there are millions of people. You both be smart, stay safe too. Hang with the alligators, they don’t mind socializing! π
The remote βSC RVβ lot, knowing SC, should certainly have far less people. If itβs a State lot check before you return. Need anything send us an SOS. You both be safe too. And take photos ! The waterfalls may be running finally.
Thanks bunches, Ted! We own the RV lot in Lake Greenwood Motorcoach Resort, in Cross Hill, and most likely, there won’t be many other owners at the resort since the season there hasn’t started just yet. π
About 2 hours away, so you have a problem let us know.
Appreciate it! π
Great shots! It’s always a wonderful feeling when you are ready for a photo op and it happens!
Thank you, Susan, sure does! π
Coffee, Warbler and music. How wonderful! That is a good day. They are nice shots, too.
Thank you, Jane! Time for us to enjoy nature in our backyards! π
Seems as though E has spotted some of these guys in our yard, but they move too fast and dart in and out of the branches, so I’m never sure what I’m seeing! So glad you’re catching these great shots of a VERY difficult bird to capture!!!
Thank you, Gunta! I just stay with them and keep snapping, lol. I agree, sometimes I’m not sure what I’m seeing but who cares! It’s fun!! And so darn rewarding when you score!! π
What a lovely coffee interruption, Donna, and beautiful shots of a beautiful bright little bird.
Thank you, Ashley! A bird can interrupt me any time! π
Nice, Donna! Beautiful bird & photos!!
Thank you, Reed!
Beautiful bird and you expertly photographed it, Donna!
Thank you much, Indira!!
More cuteness. It’s size and shape remind me of our Carolina Wrens. They are hysterical. I can always tell when one is disturbed…”yid, yid, yid, yid, yid…!” Little buggers will nest in anything.
I love your birding world.
Thank you, Vic!! I love my hobby. π
The motto is: always have your camera to hand while you are sipping coffee and listening to jazz! Good work.
I love that motto! π Thanks Tom!
Splendid captures, Donna! Your photos make me anticipate the Spring Warbler migration…
Thank you, Eliza! They’ll be there very soon!
What a treat..wow! Way to start your day βοΈ. Terrific close shots and awesome timing, Donna.
Thank you, it was a great way to start the day! S/he came back yesterday morning, I’ll be out there this morning to enjoy again hopefully!
Lovely photos, Donna!
