I love these, Donna! Great shots, as always. I am especially struck by the Squadron of White Pelicans! So cool!
Thank you, Carol! Have you not heard of the “Pelican Square Squadron”?? π π
No – thatβs a new term for me, but I love how it looks!
π
Very nice groups of birds in flight images Donna! Enjoyed seeing them!
Thank you, Reed!
I love the Roseate Spoonbills! All the images are wonderful, Donna.
Thank you, Deborah!
You’re welcome! π
Those white pelicans look like they are perfectly choreographed.
The pelicans are from an elite group, called the “Square Squadron”. π π
Love it!
Your shots of the birds are awesome, Donna. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you, Isabel!!
Beautiful flight shots Donna π
Thank you, Ashley! π
Wonderful shots, Donna. In flight scenes are a representative to their own natural skill. You captured this great feat flawlessly. π
Thank you very much, HJ! You know I love this challenge! π
Wonderful flyover shots, Donna. I love the squadron formations of pelicans, geometrically perfect!
Thank you, Eliza! That was cool, square formation caught my eye for sure!
Lovely photos! My favourite is the Spoonbills. Great colour. Great prime number. Nicely spaced too! Excellent shot!
Thank you, gosh that pink is such a great color, I’m always looking for pink when I’m out. Now if only I could see a big flock of pink…..that’d be another Cloud 9! π
Another great series, Donna!
Thank you, Belinda!
Awesome!
Thank you, Vic!
π
Fabulous series Donna. I especially liked the last 2 and I thought the last one looked like an upturned (perhaps a little broken) bottle or vase shape. π€
Thank you, Mike! It was certainly an odd pelican form for sure, I was glad I spotted it as they flew over!
So many majestic wings soaring up there in the wild blue yonder… I love the rosy hues on the roseate spoonbills…
Thank you, Barbara! Oh, to soar with them, just for a hour, would be so awesome, wouldn’t it?!! π
Wonderful series, Donna! The last pic is my favourite!
Thank you, Indira!
Each of these marvelous photos is unique and worth a post by it self.
Enjoy this beautiful day
Thank you very much, Eddie! It was beautiful day, and exciting, I saw my first Gopher Tortoise! π
The last photo is a real top shot Donna.
Thank you, Rudi!
Seeing these beautiful birds in flight with precision in their formation, these photos show off the results of a photographer’s patience.
Thank you! I do love watching a bird soar, hoping it’ll come my way for a chance to capture it! π
The most graceful flights I have seen thus far are American White Pelicans and vultures. Love the Roseate Spoonbills against the blue sky.
Thank you, Jane. Those big birds are really amazing to see soar so gracefully. π
