1-2-3 Cute As Can Be – #4

Little birds seem cuter, even when they are in their younger juvenile years.  Here’s three in their first year’s life.

    • Thank you, Gunta! I like it best when they are flitting around with their species, so I can go there first on IDing if I don’t already know. 😉 I thought I had a juvi Indigo Bunting but really had to study & search, and finally found a first fall male photo and it was just like mine. Oh my, I have a folder full of little birds that I don’t know what they are, just need to take time to study them……I could have a new lifer and don’t know it! 😉

  1. Beautiful images, Donna! It can be hard to properly ID them when they’re young too. You did an excellent job at that too! I’m often totally lost and have no clue when they’re young.

    • Thank you, Deborah! Oh my goodness, they are hard to ID for me too, it is time-consuming! I have a folder full of juveniles that I don’t know what they are, every so often I ‘tackle’ one to ID. 😁
