Here’s my continuing series of three photos of three small bird species, being so adorably cute!


House Wren
Length:  4.3-5.1 inches (11-13 cm)
Weight:  0.3-0.4 oz (10-12 g)

Carolina Wren
Length:  4.7-5.5 inches (12-14 cm)
Weight:  0.6-0.8 oz (18-22 g)
Wingspan:  11.4 inches (29 cm)

Yellow-rumped Warbler  (female or immature)
Length:  4.7-5.5 inches (12-14 cm)
Weight:  0.4-0.5 oz (12-13 g)
Wingspan:  7.5-9.1 inches (19-23 cm)

  1. I was expecting a third wren, Donna. ๐Ÿ˜ŠMaybe that’s because I have been hoping to see a Winter Wren for 3 or 4 winters now, so far to no avail. A much longed-for lifer.

  2. I love your little collections, Donna. And I especially adore the Carolina wren! I hear them singing their lovely songs continuously in some of my favorite birding places, but they are usually so hard to spot. So well camouflaged in the thick trees.
