Backyard Traffic #2 – Wild Turkey

While we eat our meals, we are entertained with nature through our big picture window.

Usually it’s watching the birds and feeders, or the weather’s force, or seeing/discussing outside chore work to be done ugh, lol.

If we’re lucky, we may see someone non-nonchalantly pass on through.Β  This happened during dinner a few days ago.

Did you notice?  Even two trees were surprised! 😁

  1. Looks like the tree is saying β€˜ooooo.’ We had a flock that lived on our property in Oregon and entertained us royally. There is nothing like the Toms doing their strut! When we were just in Costa Rica, Donna, Crested Guans (known at the Costa Rica turkey) greeted us on our doorstep each morning.

    • My husband’s tree faces are funny, and I always forget about them until I suddenly see one above me when I’m looking for a bird lol. There’s a decent flock roaming our 5-6 mile peninsula and when they split up, a few will meander around us, they are quite entertaining! I just jumped to see the Crested Guans, that would be quite entertaining to find them each morning on your doorstep!!

    • I happen to luck out with the tree faces, there wasn’t time in even thinking about positioning them in the shots. The grandboys buy the faces for my husband, I keep forgetting where they are until one suddenly pops in my view of a bird LOL.

  2. The true joy of living in the woods. We usually get a lot of Turkeys migrating to our lot about now as hunting season opens up around us in about a week…they know their sanctuary safe spaces ha. Not sure if it is a good thing to have too many of the. Coming through your yard, you might run out of trees hehehe.
