Two Michigan Sunrises

During our Michigan visit, our hotel sat on a bluff looking east.  Every morning I was up with my coffee in hand to enjoy the sunrise from our balcony.  These were my two favorites.

  1. Utterly beautiful. I can’t help but wonder if some of that striking color isn’t helped along with all the smoke we’ve been sending East? 😉

    • Thank you, Gunta! These were three weeks ago, it was pretty clear when it was sunny when we were in Michigan. We had ‘problems’ with morning fog more than anything, lol.

      • We had one of them newfangled atmospheric rivers breeze through here for a couple of days. That blew the smoke out, but sent it to the east. I forget about the time lapses here, but then again another day it shot up to 90º… Crazy weather. Totally.

Now we’re getting smoke again from a new one in Calif. I’m getting to recognize the orange tint to the sunshine when the smoke moves in. I truly don’t understand how folks can deal with that sort of air quality. Just keep moving East so the smoke doesn’t catch up to you! 😀

  2. “The secret to a good morning is to watch the sunrise with an open heart.” ― Anthony T. Hincks I will add to the quote, “and a good cup of coffee.” Spectacular vistas, well captured, Donna!
