Wood Stork Foraging Past A Reddish Egret

.

To add to the delightful sighting of my first Reddish Egrets I shared last week, I got the added excitement of watching a Wood Stork foraging towards the egret.Β  Here’s my two favorites from the series of photos I took.

Staying perfectly still, the Reddish Egret allowed the Wood Stork to stroll behind him without incident.

  1. These two pals, I’d like to see again! You captured them very calmly and good-looking. Thanks, Donna. πŸ™‚

  2. It’s always a treat to capture two or more different species in a photograph! I’m amazed there aren’t more kerfuffles when two actively hunting birds are in proximity.

    Very nice photographs!
