“Halt! Who goes there?” 😀
😁
Very good spot.
It was a surprise to me!
Wow Donna! You have Great eyesight to find it in that tree! Another of one of my favorite birds!
Thank you, Reed! I was lucky, lol. I don’t have many juvenile night herons; and this shot is kinda cute, I’m glad I spotted him/her!
Oh, my goodness! Made me wonder how many large birds I have walked right past and didn’t even know it. 😏
I always think the same thing; because I have done it many times, including recently! 😏
Great peek-a-boo pose.
Thanks, David!
LOL! I saw him! Peek-a-Boo! 😂
😊 Like a kid eating a cookie behind the door and looking out to see if Mommy sees him! 😂
LOL! Yaaasss! 😂
Looks quite young. Cute, as the young always look.
Thank you, Jane!
It’s just a juvenile, they love being in trees. Great captures, Donna. 🙂
Thank you, HJ! 🙂
Great pic….. i guess its that penetrating eye that makes it so positive an image 😃
Thank you, David! Like a kid caught, up to no good! 😊
And I know a few of them 😃… and some that are no longer kids !
He was well hidden…. 🙂
Yes he was!! 🙂
lol great shot!!
Thank you! 😉
Good sighting!
Thanks Belinda!
Well spotted, your posts have a great sense of fun!
Thank you, Sel! 😊
A shy hereon, I saw her!!!
Like a kid hiding behind the door, sneaking a piece of candy, looking out to see where Mommy is! hehe 😉
You have a good eye, Donna! I amazed myself by spotting the young heron in the first picture. Great close-up — I think he spotted you, too. 🙂
Thank you, Barbara! I just love this little heron’s surprised look when it saw me. I was quick with a couple shots as it leaned back into hiding and out of sight. 🙂
Wow! So cute!!! 💙
Just a little one, seeing if it’s safe…. 😊
Fun … sort of like ‘Where’s Waldo’! 🙂
Yes! hehe 😉
