An interesting selection again Donna. I learn a lot about your birds from your posts. I love the blue on your Tree Swallow it has similarities to the shiny blue on our Welcome Swallow. Your hawks look very similar to each other which could be a challenge to identify them in flight.
What a beautiful portrait of the Tree Swallow!
Thank you, Barbara, aren’t Tree Swallows sweet?!!
It’s great to see the returning migrants. I’ve seen phoebes, awaiting the swallows!
Purple Martins just arrived a couple days ago for us, my neighbor has condos for them. Soon they, the Tree Swallows and Barn Swallows will be circling overhead for me!
I like your themes.
Thank you, Bruce! 🤗😊🤗
Very nice! I got excited as soon as I saw the title of the post in my Reader. My first thought was “I wonder what Donna has for us this time?” 😁
Thank you, Pepper! Birds must be hanging around on wires all over the place, waiting and looking for me to come take their pic! 😁
Smart birds. 😊
Nice pics. The various hawks are great. (Suzanne)
Thank you, Suzanne! The Broad-winged Hawk is a special shot for me, they are not very common in our area so I got very excited seeing it, hoping it would stay put while I was stopping and preparing for the shot. A big thank you to it as I pulled away! 😉
Very nice, Donna! I am partial to the Eastern Phoebe 😊
Thank you, Belinda! Those phoebes are sweet, I love hearing them and they are quite entertaining!
5 really great birds to sight! I’ve never seen a Broad-winged hawk. It looks amazing.
Thank you, Deborah! The Broad-winged was a special sight for me, they aren’t common in our area, so I was putting on the brakes and already saying, don’t move don’t move please! I felt really lucky with that shot!
How exciting for you!! 💃🏻
It is good to see a swallow. One or two have appeared near us.
Our Tree Swallows returned about a week ago and the Purple Martins a couple days ago. Barn Swallows should be joining the other two, circling over our house, eating those ‘skeeters!
Great pics Donna! I love the raptors and that blue colouring of the tree swallow is beautiful!
Thank you, Sue! Raptors do make me brake, lol. I was happy to see the Tree Swallows return, I love that blue coloring against that white belly/chest, too!
You are watching them and they are watching you (as well as breakfast or lunch). Great shots Donna!
Thank you, Linda!
Hooray for the spring return! Our violet green swallows are nesting again in the houses we provided as well as our western phoebe family back for their third year nesting under our patio cover! Beautiful shots, Donna!
Superb collection of wiry birds!
We are finally getting some rain and our schedule may even permit us to go birding! Fingers crossed.
Meanwhile, thank you for keeping us supplied with outstanding images for us to enjoy!
