  1. An interesting selection again Donna. I learn a lot about your birds from your posts. I love the blue on your Tree Swallow it has similarities to the shiny blue on our Welcome Swallow. Your hawks look very similar to each other which could be a challenge to identify them in flight.

  2. Very nice! I got excited as soon as I saw the title of the post in my Reader. My first thought was “I wonder what Donna has for us this time?” 😁

    • Thank you, Suzanne! The Broad-winged Hawk is a special shot for me, they are not very common in our area so I got very excited seeing it, hoping it would stay put while I was stopping and preparing for the shot. A big thank you to it as I pulled away! 😉

    • Our Tree Swallows returned about a week ago and the Purple Martins a couple days ago. Barn Swallows should be joining the other two, circling over our house, eating those ‘skeeters!

  3. Hooray for the spring return! Our violet green swallows are nesting again in the houses we provided as well as our western phoebe family back for their third year nesting under our patio cover! Beautiful shots, Donna!

  4. Superb collection of wiry birds!

We are finally getting some rain and our schedule may even permit us to go birding! Fingers crossed.

Meanwhile, thank you for keeping us supplied with outstanding images for us to enjoy!
